Pennsylvania State Police are mourning the loss of one of their own after yesterday’s fatal crash. While conducting routine truck inspections along I-81 in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania State Trooper Michael Pahira was struck and killed by a passing truck that veered off the roadway at a high rate of speed. Trooper Pahira was a veteran of the force for nearly 20-years. State Police are continuing to investigate the incident. Flags will fly at half-mast throughout the Commonwealth to honor Trooper Pahira’s service to the community.
