LANCASTER – Lancaster Police are investigating a Saturday, May 9th incident involving five males who appeared to be juveniles inside Park City Mall and at least one individual was believed to be in possession of a firearm. Officers responded shortly before 7 p.m. and coordinated with Park City Security. Two males exited the mall and officers stopped one individual while obtaining the direction of travel for the second male. Police later located the second male who fled on foot and was apprehended. Officers recovered a firearm that had reportedly been discarded in a trash can by the fleeing male. Two additional males from the group were identified and detained as part of the investigation. No additional firearms were recovered. As a result of the investigation, a 16-year-old juvenile male faces various charges.
