COLUMBIA – Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal shooting in Columbia, Lancaster County. Officers responded to the 900 block of Plane Street on Saturday, July 18 around 9:45 p.m. Upon arrival, police discovered a male, later identified as 17-year-old Wilfredo Garcia of Columbia, deceased from a gunshot wound. Police are investigating the case as a homicide. Investigators interviewed all occupants of the house at the time the shooting occurred. Based on the preliminary investigation, there does not appear to be a threat to the public.
