CARLISLE – President Donald Trump addressed a defense summit at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle on Wednesday. Seated at a roundtable with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Republican PA U.S. Sen. David McCormick, Trump said the gathering would generate around $10 billion in pledged investments from domestic defense and technology companies. Trump said since he took office, defense investments in PA are up by nearly 25%. The gathering in Carlisle was organized by Sen. McCormick. Over the two day summit, more than 1,300 attendees took part in over 1,500 meetings connecting investors, suppliers, workforce leaders, university researchers, war fighters, and Department of War officials.
