WASHINGTON, DC – A letter was sent from PA U.S. Sen. Dave McCormick to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin urging the agency to release nearly $600 million in approved COVID-19 reimbursement funding owed to PA hospitals and health systems. In the letter, McCormick raised concerns about the ongoing delays in disbursing FEMA Public Assistance funds tied to pandemic response efforts and highlighted the continued financial strain facing healthcare providers across the Commonwealth. The senator said PA hospitals stepped up during the pandemic when communities needed them most and the federal government should uphold its commitment to them.
