LANCASTER – On June 24, 2026, at approximately 6:37 p.m. officers with Lancaster Township Police and Lancaster County Park Rangers responded to Lancaster County Park for reported shots fired in the area of Williamson Rd. and Rockford Rd. The scene was determined to be within the City of Lancaster, and officers with the Lancaster City Bureau of Police were dispatched at approximately 6:48 p.m. Upon arriving on the scene, officers encountered two individuals with gunshot wounds. One individual was declared deceased at the scene, while the other was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The condition of the individual transported to the hospital is unknown at this time. There is no reason to believe there is any threat to the public at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
