HARRISBURG – A man who managed voter registration drives in PA ahead of the 2024 presidential election is facing a month in jail after pleading guilty to three misdemeanor counts. Phoenix, AZ resident, Guillermo Sainz Gurrola will immediately serve 30 days in Lancaster County Prison, followed by 11 months of probation, and is ordered to pay a $1,000 fine Prosecutors say he offered financial incentives to canvassers who met quotas. The PA Attorney General’s office says charges also remain pending against six canvassers for forgery and other violations. The investigation began when election workers in Lancaster County flagged forms for potential fraud. Investigators said they appeared to contain false names, suspicious handwriting, questionable signatures, incorrect addresses, and other problematic details.
