CHESTER COUNTY – A Chester County woman has been charged after shooting a person and threatening their life. The Chester County District Attorney’s Office and Downingtown Police say 60-year-old Debra Dora of West Chester faces attempted murder and other charges after officers responded to the 200 block of Chestnut Street in Downingtown on Sunday, July 19th around 12:30 a.m. Upon arrival, officers located Dora still in possession of a firearm and immediately took her into custody without further incident. Officers also located the victim, who sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Dora is being held in Chester County Prison in lieu of $750,000 bail.
