EPHRATA – A boil water advisory remains in effect for all water customers of the Ephrata Area Joint Authority. The advisory was issued after they received a positive test on a bacteria sample at a tier 2 level. The company says a series of water quality tests are being conducted with laboratory results expected over the next couple of days. They understand the inconvenience this may cause, but the safety of water customers remains a top priority. They will provide another update as soon as additional information is available, which will be Saturday, July 25th at the earliest. They also encourage everyone to sign up for the alert notification system by visiting the Borough’s website for more information.
