LANCASTER COUNTY – A York County man is being charged in a Lancaster County road rage incident. At 4:52 p.m. Thursday, May 21, Manheim Township Police responded to the intersection of Bloomingdale Avenue and Sterling Place for shots fired. Upon arrival, they determined that the incident started as a traffic dispute, which led to a shooting. Moments before, a red Jeep was eastbound in the 300 block of Delp Road in Manheim Township. The driver of a red Jeep interpreted the actions of a white SUV as unsafe and blew their horn at the other driver. The white SUV driver then began to follow the red Jeep to its destination. The occupant of the white SUV fired one shot at the red Jeep. The round struck the rear end of the vehicle and entered the passenger compartment. No one was injured and the white SUV fled. Police later arrested 42-year-old Maurice Thomas of York and charged him with aggravated assault and other charges. He is being held in Lancaster County Prison.
