LANCASTER – A water leak that happened Saturday evening has caused the Lancaster County Government Center to be closed for today. A cap on a water line broke on the third floor of the facility located at 150 N. Queen Street in Lancaster causing water damage to the third, second, and parts of the first floor. Lancaster County staff and restoration venders have been working to mitigate the damage. The water leak has been controlled and the damage assessment and mitigation are ongoing. To continue the mitigation and damage assessment, the Center will be closed today. The June 3rd Salary Board meeting is also canceled and will be scheduled on a later date. All other County facilities, including the Lancaster County Courthouse, will continue to operate normally. As part of the County’s continuity of operations plan, staff who can not be in the office will be working remotely.
