YORK COUNTY – The York County Coroner has identified the two victims of Monday’s fire in West Manheim Township. Authorities responded to the blaze in the 2400 block of Black Rock Road and discovered the body of 79-year-old Ronald Richard, who lived at the home. The Deputy Coroner responded to Hanover Hospital for the death of 4-year-old Chase Bucher of Spring Grove who was also involved in the blaze. The boy had been visiting the home at the time. The Fire Marshall determined the fire was caused by careless smoking and that Richard was in a wheelchair and smoking in a closed garage while on oxygen causing the oxygen tanks to explode. Several other people in the home were taken for treatment.
