YORK COUNTY – Two people are in police custody after a bank robbery in York County. On Friday, April 28, police responded to a robbery at the M&T Bank at 1401 W. Market Street in West York. A female entered the bank and displayed a note demanding money. She left on foot after receiving an undisclosed amount of currency. Officers quickly located a male, identified as Tavaris Duncan, who was with the female before and immediately after the robbery. Duncan was found to be in possession of the stolen cash and the demand note. Through a further investigation, investigators were able to identify the female as 40-year-old Jessica Soder, who was later taken into custody. Duncan and Soder, both from West York, were charged with Conspiracy to Commit Robbery of a Financial Institution, Theft by Unlawful Taking, and Receiving Stolen Property.
