COLUMBIA – Police in Lancaster County are investigating a shooting. On Monday, Jan. 15 around 11:58 p.m., police responded to the area of the 100 block of North Fourth Street in Columbia. Upon arrival, officers found a 16-year-old male with a single gunshot wound to his leg. He was transported to a local hospital. The wound is not considered life-threatening. Multiple spent shell casings were located and all indications are that the shooting occurred in the 300 block of Avenue G near its intersection with North Fourth Street. Investigators are working to obtain surveillance footage from several privately-owned security cameras in the area of the shooting. At this point, the shooting victim is not cooperating with investigators.
