LANCASTER – A flood watch has been issued for our area through late tonight. Flash flooding is a possibility caused by rainfall from storms moving through today, according to AccuWeather meteorologist Jason Caterina. Multiple rounds of slow-moving and occasionally heavy showers and thunderstorms could produce rainfall rates of up to 2 inches per hour leading to rapid runoff into low lying areas and small streams and creeks. Be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
