ADAMS/CUMBERLAND COUNTIES – A special election is taking place today in a PA House District in Adams & Cumberland Counties. Voters in the 193rd District are selecting a replacement for former Republican Rep. Torren Ecker, who left the post to serve as a Judge on the Court of Common Pleas in Adams County. Persons in that district are headed to the polls to choose between Republican Catherine Wallen and Democrat Todd Crawley. Wallen operates a small family farm and served in the PA House as the District Director for 193rd, where she managed daily operations and staff, helped constituents with state services, and worked with community leaders across both counties. Crawley is a public and environment health and safety expert who has spent two decades working in higher education and knows a strong public education system is critical for the future of the Commonwealth. Voters in the 193rd can go to the polls until 8 p.m. tonight to make their selection.
