BERKS COUNTY – Authorities in Berks County are investigating a shooting. On March 8 around 11:39 p.m., Spring Township Police were dispatched to the area of West Lawn Avenue in reference to multiple shots fired. As they arrived, people were fleeing the scene and they were able to locate one male with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was transported to the hospital and was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The scene indicated that there were several shooters involved in a gun battle. One suspect was apprehended immediately following the incident. He was identified as 18-year-old Ke’Sean Williams of Wyomissing. Williams was charged with attempted homicide, attempted aggravated assault, and recklessly endangering another person. Williams was committed to Berks County Prison after failing to post $500,000 bail. The investigation remains active.
