LANCASTER COUNTY – East Lampeter Township Police responded around 3:40 a.m. today to a person struck by a train in the area of Horseshoe & Jefferson Road. Upon arrival, it was learned an adult female was struck by a Norfolk Southern train that was being operated on an Amtrak Rail line. The Lancaster County Coroner’s office responded to the scene and pronounced the female deceased. Norfolk Southern along with Amtrak Police are investigating.
