LANCASTER COUNTY -A Philadelphia woman was struck by a train yesterday in Lancaster County. East Lampeter Township Police responded around 3:40 a.m. to the area of Horseshoe & Jefferson Road and found an adult female was struck by a Norfolk Southern train that was being operated on an Amtrak Rail line. The Lancaster County Coroner’s office responded to the scene and pronounced 40-year-old Megan Pimm dead at the scene. An autopsy has been scheduled. Norfolk Southern along with Amtrak Police are investigating.
