LANCASTER – On November 26, at 8:00 PM, the Lancaster City Police responded to the 100 block of New Dorwart Street for a report of a disturbance. While officers were en route to the location, they were notified by Lancaster County Dispatch the call for service was upgraded to a stabbing. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the victim and other witnesses inside the residence. It was reported the suspect, Michael Hess, had been staying with the victim and his family. An argument ensued and Michael Hess stabbed the victim in his hand with a knife, before fleeing the residence. The victim sustained no life threatening injuries to his hand and he went to a local hospital for treatment. Michael Hess had fled the scene prior to police arrival, but he was located a short time later hiding in a garage in the 600 block of Lafayette St. Michael Hess was taken into custody without incident and he was charged with one count of Aggravated Assault.
