LANCASTER – Several races are contested around the region. Republican candidates Danielle Lindemuth and Nicky Woods are running for the state House seat in the 98th District which is currently held by Rep. Tom Jones. A contested race in southern Lancaster County has Republican candidates Kelly Osborne and Dave Nissley running for state representative in the 100th District as Rep. Bryan Cutler will be ending his term of office. A contested state Senate seat in the 34th District covering Perry County and parts of Cumberland & Dauphin Counties has Democrats Richard Forsman and Nathan Wood seeking the nod in the race against incumbent Republican Sen. Greg Rothman, who is unopposed. A contest in the 36th District in Lancaster County has Republican Rep. Tom Jones and Jere Swarr vying for that post currently held by Democrat Sen. James Malone, who is running unopposed. A contested race in the 48th Senatorial District in Lebanon County and parts of Berks and Lancaster Counties has Republican incumbent Sen. Chris Gebhard facing a challenge from Clovis Crane. Democrats in the 10th Congressional District have a race between Justin Douglas and Janelle Stelson vying for the seat occupied by Republican Congressman Scott Perry, who is running unopposed. Republicans have a contested race for Lieutenant Governor as Jason Richey and John Ventre are in the running.
