MARIETTA – Lancaster County authorities arrested a man after receiving an assault call at the Marietta Post Office on March 25th at 12:56 p.m. Susquehanna Regional Police reported that a postal worker was assaulted and lying behind the counter bleeding. The victim was dazed and confused with facial injuries. A suspect, 27-year-old James Moore, was still on scene and arrested without incident. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Moore was upset about a package not being delivered and according to the victim, Moore jumped over the counter and punched the victim in the head several times before being knocked unconscious. Moore was charged with aggravated assault and arraigned. Bail was set at $200,000 and Moore transported to Lancaster County Prison.
