GETTYSBURG – An early morning two alarm fire in Gettysburg has claimed a life. Units responded around 2:45 a.m. today to the first block of W. Middle Street and found heavy fire coming from the three story building which contained apartments. Officials say one person on the third floor was found deceased. Their identity has not yet been released. Nine people were displaced by the blaze and are being assisted by the Red Cross. A State Police Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
