LANCASTER COUNTY – Police have filed charges against a man who started a house fire in Lancaster County. On February 4, 2024 around 3:30 p.m., Susquehanna Regional Police responded to 615 Anderson Ferry Road in East Donegal Township for a structure fire. The first officer to arrive on scene observed that the inside of the house was completely engulfed in flames and smoke and that there was a male lying on the ground next to the home. The male was identified as 36-year-old Zachary Landis, who admitted to starting the fire and had suffered severe burn injuries. The home is divided into two separate residences and there was two occupants that were inside of the other residence at the time of the fire. Neither one of them were injured. Landis was transported to the hospital for treatment and was later arrested on several arson related charges along with other criminal charges.
