HARRISBURG – Centerville Road will be closed and detours will be in place as construction work is set to begin Friday night at 8:00. Between just south of the bridge spanning Route 30 and just north of Old Tree Drive, crews will be working on reconstructing the railroad crossing in order to meet the requirements of the eventual widening of Centerville Road. PennDOT suggests that drivers avoid the area if possible to avoid delays caused by the detour on Columbia Avenue, Hempland Road, and Donerville Road. The work zone will be active as weather permits, and Centerville Road is expected to be reopened by 6:00am Tuesday. This is just another step in the the Centerville Road Interchange Improvement project.
