HARRISBURG – Legislation which will modernize career & technical education programs in PA was passed by the PA House. House Bill 2425 amends PA’s Public School Code to establish the Career and Technical Education Curriculum Modernization Grant Program. The program would provide funding to career and technical centers, school districts, and intermediate units that offer CTE programs to help them update and modernize instructional curriculum. Bill sponsor, Berks County Rep. Jacklyn Rusnock said her bill invests in our workforce pipeline, supports local employers, and gives students the tools they need to succeed in high-demand fields. Career and technical education gives students a direct pathway to good-paying, in-demand jobs, but our schools and institutions need the resources to keep pace with rapidly changing industries and technology. The bill now moves to the PA Senate.
