HARRISBURG – An appeal by PA Attorney General Dave Sunday of Commonwealth Court’s abortion funding ruling will go back to the PA Supreme Court. Earlier this year, Commonwealth Court ruled 4-3 in favor of the abortion industry after the PA Supreme Court previously overturned 40 years of precedent protecting taxpayers from funding abortions. Gov. Josh Shapiro has refused to defend the law when he was Attorney General and fought against it as governor. Now, Attorney General Sunday is stepping in to defend PA’s law before the state’s highest court.
