YORK COUNTY – A pedestrian crash in York County has claimed a life. Yesterday around 4:20 p.m., Fairview Township Police responded to the intersection of State Route 177 and Bull Road / Traver Drive. Police arrived to find a motor vehicle crash involving two vehicles and a pedestrian. The crash involved one vehicle rear ending the second vehicle and then striking a pedestrian who was on the shoulder of the road. The vehicles were traveling south on Route 177. The pedestrian had crossed the road from Bull Road to Traver Drive prior to being struck. The 78-year-old male pedestrian was flown to Hershey Medical Center where he later died.
