LANCASTER COUNTY – Police in Lancaster County are investigating a crash that claimed a life. On Wednesday, March 11 around 5:33 p.m., authorities responded to a vehicle crash in the 400 block of East Main Street in Upper Leacock Township. A pedestrian was struck by a white pickup truck who was traveling eastbound. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and later identified as 68-year-old Jeffrey Martin of Leola. The pickup truck and operator remained on scene. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has information is requested to contact East Lampeter Township Police at 717 291-4676.
LEBANON COUNTY – Two people died after a fatal crash in Lebanon County. On Tuesday, March 10 around 10:10 p.m., officers responded to the 3100 block of State Drive in Lebanon. A preliminary investigation determined that a vehicle operated by 47-year-old Cole Steffy of Mansfield was northbound when it crossed into the opposing lane striking a vehicle operated by 19-year-old Rilee Knable of Palmyra, who was traveling southbound. The Lebanon County Coroner’s Office pronounced both drivers deceased at the scene. The crash investigation remains ongoing.
