CARLISLE – A Cumberland County woman has been charged with an attempted homicide. On February 18 around 2:54 p.m., Carlisle Police responded to the 100 block of Lincoln Street for a report of a stabbing. Once on scene, officers discovered that 37-year-old Shannon Kerns had stabbed a male victim. He sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated by EMS on scene. Kerns was taken into custody for attempted murder, aggravated assault, and possessing instruments of crime.
