YORK COUNTY – Two separate shootings in York are under investigation. On Fri., Oct. 31 around 11:21 p.m., police responded to the 700 block of W. Poplar Street where they located a 31-year-old female shooting victim. The victim was transported to York Hospital. 54-year-old Edward Vasquez-Quezada, who was known to the victim, was arrested for attempted homicide and other related charges. Then on Sat., Nov. 1 around 2:28 a.m., officers responded to the 200 block of W. Jackson Street and found a 23-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound. The victim, later identified as Jyteek Christie of York, was transported to an area hospital and subsequently succumbed to his injury. An autopsy is scheduled for today.
