BOONE, NC – Today is the final day to make and drop off shoeboxes filled with gifts to needy children around the world through Operation Christmas Child, an outreach of Samaritan’s Purse. Shoeboxes are filled with toys, school supplies, and personal care items and can include a personal note and photo from the sender. Children receive the shoebox gifts along with the Gospel message. Many also participate in a discipleship course where they learn to know, grow in, and share Jesus Christ with their families and friends. Over 4,500 drop-off locations are open across the country.
