LANCASTER – The Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office is investigating a fatal officer involved shooting that took place Saturday night. The incident occurred at the Northwest Regional Police Department on Elizabethtown Road in Elizabethtown. This investigation is in its initial stages and additional information will be released as appropriate. The encounter occurred around 1:43 a.m. according to County 911 after a man showed up at the station. The man, whose identity is not being released at this time, was armed with a handgun. Lancaster County Detectives will continue to investigate and District Attorney Heather Adams will make a determination on the justification of the shooting when the investigation is complete.
