DAUPHIN COUNTY – The Dauphin County District Attorney’s office is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Dauphin County. On Saturday, Nov. 1 around 1:40 p.m., Lower Paxton Township Police were dispatched to the 4000 block of Fawn Drive for a reported stabbing. Officers arrived and located an adult female with stab wounds. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Officers began an immediate investigation and a description of the suspect was obtained. A short time later, officers encountered the adult male suspect on foot in the 4200 block of Valley Road with a large knife in his hand. The officer immediately began issuing verbal commands for the suspect to drop the knife. The male suspect refused to comply with the commands and rapidly advanced toward the officer while raising the knife over his head in an aggressive manner. The officer fired his weapon, striking the suspect, resulting in his death. Authorities say the initial stabbing incident was determined to be the result of domestic violence. There is no public safety threat.
