LANCASTER COUNTY – Lancaster County authorities are searching for a New York man wanted for identity theft, forgery, and theft by deception. Manheim Township’s Belco Community Credit Union on Oregon Pike reported to police that a man claiming to be Ramon Colon opened an account on February 12, and then deposited a check of over $23,700 into the account February 19. Documentation regarding the account was provided to an officer, as well as the corresponding video footage. All of the documents were for Ramon Colon and the check was endorsed by Colon. The video showed the suspect as a middle-aged White or Hispanic male. A search was done on the photograph from the New Jersey driver’s license used by Colon, and the photograph was identified as matching 55-year-old Thomas Ruzzano of Jamaica, NY. A criminal complaint was filed and an arrest warrant was obtained. Ruzzano remains a wanted person at this time.
