LANCASTER – Lt. Governor Austin Davis will join state and local leaders from Lancaster County to highlight the newly signed, bipartisan state budget’s investments to prevent gun violence and make Pennsylvania communities safer. This roundtable discussion will take place this morning at 10:30 AM at the Bench Mark Program, 102 S. Prince St., Lancaster. Earlier this month Gov. Josh Shapiro signed the 2024-25 state budget, which includes state funding for afterschool and out-of-school time programming and more resources for violence intervention and prevention programs that are working. The budget also includes an increase for nonprofit security grants, an increase in funding for domestic violence services and an infusion of state dollars to the Crime Victims Compensation Fund.
