LANCASTER COUNTY – A Lancaster County home burglary has led to the arrest of the homeowner. On January 26 around 9:27 p.m., Lancaster Township Police responded to a report of a burglary in progress in the 600 block of Wyncroft Lane. Upon arrival, officers found evidence of a break-in, but the suspect had fled the scene. During the investigation, officers found evidence implicating the homeowner, Edward Valentin, in a separate crime. A search of the home uncovered over 3 pounds of marijuana wrapped in homemade clear plastic, 71 pouches of commercially packaged marijuana totaling over 248 grams, 44 THC Vape Pens, nine jars of THC Wax, scales, and packaging material. Notably, the only items stolen during the burglary were additional amounts of marijuana. Valentin was taken into custody and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was incarcerated at Lancaster County Prison, awaiting a Feb. 5th preliminary hearing.
