LANCASTER – A Lancaster County man charged with beating two six-week-old infants, leaving them with numerous injuries, will have his case proceed to county court. 23-year-old Dillon McCarraher of Manheim waived his preliminary hearing on charges of aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children, and simple assault. McCarraher is accused of assaulting the infants at his residence in the 100 block of South Charlotte Street between August and September 2025. A doctor told police the injuries were consistent with physical child abuse and that the victims could not have caused the injuries to themselves. In a police interview, McCarraher acknowledged that he may have injured both of the children out of frustration due to a lack of sleep. He is currently free on $100,000 bail.
