LANCASTER – A Lancaster County jury convicted a Lancaster man of killing a man and seriously injuring a woman following a three-day trial. 40-year-old Isaac Sanchez was found guilty of third-degree murder, aggravated assault, and two felony firearms offenses. Sanchez shot both victims in the 500 block of Manor Street the morning of Oct. 27, 2020. One of the victims, 36-year-old Terrell Coley died at a local hospital. Another victim, 24-year-old Miranda Fernandez, was shot in the leg and survived. Not only did Sanchez not have a license to carry the gun, but he is not able to legally possess a firearm due to a previous felony conviction in 2007. Though Sanchez initially escaped, he was quickly identified as the perpetrator. Police in Hardin County, KY, arrested Sanchez in January 2021. The jury returned a guilty verdict after about three hours of deliberation. Sanchez will be sentenced at the conclusion of a pre-sentence investigation.
