LINCOLN UNIVERSITY – Chester County authorities say gunfire erupted during outdoor festivities at Lincoln University, killing one person and wounding six others. The shooting took place Saturday around 9:30 p.m. outside the International Cultural Center, as students and alumni celebrated homecoming. The Chester County District Attorney says one person who had a firearm was in custody. He was identified as 21-year-old Zecqueous Morgan-Thompson and is being held in Chester County Prison. Investigators are operating under the “strong belief” that there was more than one shooter, but do not believe there’s any active threat to the campus. The shooting victim was identified as 25-year-old Jujuan Jeffers of Wilmington, Delaware. The other victims, who range in age from 20 to 25, were expected to survive. They included a current student, a graduate, and four people with no direct affiliation to the school. The investigation is ongoing.
