YORK COUNTY – Authorities in York County report a fatal crash that happened Friday, January 17 along Susquehanna Trail South at Seaks Run Road in Springfield Township. A witness reported that they were traveling northbound on Susquehanna Trail behind a white SUV when that vehicle crossed into the southbound lane to pass a vehicle causing a southbound blue SUV to abruptly swerve to avoid a collision. The blue SUV went off the road and struck a tree. The white SUV did not stop according to witnesses. A passenger in the blue SUV, identified as 20-year-old Amelia McEvoy of Hopewell Township, York County, died at the scene. PSP York is investigating the incident.
