The Promise Players auditions

The Promise Players call for auditions for their spring musical, “Simon Says: The Rockin’ Trial of Simon Peter”, where Simon Peter is on trial for claiming Jesus was God on earth, sent for me and you. Can he prove it? Join us as we hear many eyewitness testimonies in the trial that people on the street have dubbed the case of Simon Says. There are plenty of recognizable characters (although we do have a little fun with their “character”) and a wide variety of classic rock-style songs filled with catchy lyrics and toe-tapping rhythms.

There are 20+ speaking roles and/or solos, as well as large group singing. Roles are available for ages 2nd grade through senior citizens. Those auditioning should come prepared to read from the script, demonstrate vocal range, and sing one verse of Amazing Grace. They may arrive early to complete the audition form and look over the audition scenes.

Auditions will be held at Lampeter Church of the Brethren, 1900 Lampeter Road, Lancaster, PA 17602, on Sunday, January 11, 2026, between 2:00 and 7:00 pm.
