Jared Byas, Popular Podcast Host, Speaking at Life Church Lancaster

Jared Byas, a popular podcaster whose show has nearly 80,000 followers, will be preaching on the “Seven Moments that Changed How Scholars Saw the Bible” on Sunday, May 10 at 10:45AM at Life Church Lancaster, located at 700 Brentwood Drive in Lititz, Pa. This event is free to the public, and Byas will walk through some of the big “aha’s” of biblical studies over the last 300 years. A one-hour long question and answer session will follow.

Byas co-hosts the podcast The Bible for Normal People with Pete Enns. Active since 2017 with more than 400 episodes, Byas and Enns interview scholarly guests and offer guided tours through biblical books. As of March 2022, the podcast had reached 20 million downloads.

“The goal of our podcast is to guide listeners through reading the Bible without losing their minds, faith or sense of humor,” said Byas. “Ultimately, we want to provide listeners with the tools to engage scripture critically, so they can ask better questions and realize that the Bible is a lot weirder and more interesting than you were told in Sunday school,” said Byas.
