Former Eagles Star David Akers to Speak at the Ocean City Tabernacle

The Ocean City Tabernacle welcomes David Akers to speak in their 8:30 AM Traditional and 10:30 AM Contemporary services on Sunday, August 18.
Akers is a six-time NFL Pro Bowler and the all-time leading scorer in Philadelphia Eagles history. Akers played most of his 15-year NFL career in Philadelphia, earning induction into the Eagles Hall of Fame and being named to the NFL’s All-Decade Team for the 2000’s.
In addition to his highly successful NFL career, Akers has also been active in ministry and community service for many years. He is a licensed minister, founder of David Akers Ministries and “Kicks for Kids,” and a published author. His book, “Winning in Spite Of” (2016), presents “nine Biblical principles for turning hard times into personal growth, increased impact, and abundant life.”
The Ocean City Tabernacle also hosts Boardwalk Worship at the Music Pier on Sunday mornings at 8:00 AM with music by Jane Zigner and a message by Rev. Terry Lothian.
