Disability Health & Wellness Resource Fair and Summer Party

June 22 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Free

The Arc Lancaster Lebanon will be hosting a Disability Health and Wellness Resource Fair and Summer Party on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Brickerville Fire Hall, located at 10 Hopeland Rd in Lititz.

A recent study by The Arc of PA on health care needs of individuals with intellectual and/or physical disabilities showed that health care providers are often unsure how to effectively work with and communicate with someone with a disability. Individuals with disabilities can also face challenges when talking to health care providers. The goal of the Disability Health and Wellness Resource Fair is to provide both the opportunity to interact and learn how to collaborate to improve care. Those who attend can meet various local providers who can serve their health and wellness needs.

Representatives from these providers will attend the fair with resource tables, including ProCare @Home, Wellcare, Disability Empowerment Center, Vision Corps, and Lighthouse Vocational Services. Those who attend can also participate in free health screenings, such as blood pressure checks by Bayada and others. Door prizes will be given throughout the event, and the Summer Party will include a child-friendly area with games, crafts, and face painting fun. Food trucks will be available on the Brickerville Fire Hall parking lot during the entire Disability Health and Wellness Resource Fair and Summer Party.

Vendor spaces are still available. Admission is free and open to the public rain or shine.
