YORK COUNTY – York County authorities are investigating a vehicle crash involving a Lexus sedan and a Met Ed utility truck. On April 6 at 9:44 p.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Big Mount Road in Jackson Township. The driver of the Lexus, a 22-year-old male, was traveling northbound on the roadway and failed to stop for a Met Ed flagger who was holding a stop sign and controlling traffic at the work zone. The Lexus driver hit the Met Ed utility truck head on causing significant damage to both vehicles. At the time of the crash, a Met Ed lineman was in the truck’s bucket and suspended in the air doing work on a power line. The Met Ed lineman suffered minor injury and was treated at a local hospital. The Lexus driver suffered serious injury and was transported to York Hospital by ambulance.
