LANCASTER COUNTY – An Amtrak employee was struck and killed by a train yesterday morning in Lancaster County. Authorities say 39-year-old Jeremy Charles of Holtwood, Lancaster County, was working with a crew near Greenfield Road in East Lampeter Township when he was struck. Charles was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy will take place. The National Transportation Safety Board will be sending a team to Lancaster County to investigate the incident.
