Solanco High School Spring Musical – Godspell

The story follows a rabble of wayward and lost young people, who with the help of Jesus Christ, tell different parables and the last days of his life by using a variety of storytelling techniques and song styles ranging from pop/rock to vaudeville. Godspell explores the journey of these lost young people as they learn to build a new community based on messages of kindness and love. This is the production of Godspell at Solanco.
Led by the international hit, “Day by Day,” Godspell was the first major musical theatre offering from three-time Grammy and Academy Award winner, Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin, Children of Eden). With a book by a visionary playwright (John-Michael Tebelak) and the electrifying 2012 Broadway revival, Godspell is a sensation that continues to touch audiences.
Over 100 students are involved in this production in roles such as actors, crew, set painters, set builders, and ushers.
