HARRISBURG – PA Education Secretary Dr. Khalid Mumin has announced his resignation from the post after nearly two years of service. He called it “the honor of a lifetime” to serve in the position. For over 25 years, Dr. Mumin has served in various capacities as a teacher, dean of students, principal, and central administrator. He will step down on December 6th. Angela Fitterer, Executive Deputy Secretary for the Department of Education, will serve as the Interim Acting Secretary.
