LANCASTER COUNTY – An arrest has been made in a Quarryville, Lancaster County shooting. On Monday, April 15, 2024, around 9:10 p.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Meadow Lane in Quarryville for a report of shots fired into an occupied residence. During the investigation, it was learned that the residence was struck by multiple shots; however, there were no reports of injuries. Since then, detectives with Quarryville Police, aided by the Lancaster County D.A.’s Office and the PA State Police, have identified the shooter as being 27-year-old Steven Gaddis of Nottingham. There were no credible connections between the residents and the accused shooter. Gaddis is charged with aggravated assault, discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure, and recklessly endangerment. Gaddis is currently in Chester County Prison. He was charged with the murder of 25-year-old Matthew Whisman of East Drumore Township, along with two other men.
