HARRISBURG – PA Attorney General Michelle Henry joined a coalition of 21 attorneys general in support of state and federal laws regulating the sale of guns. The coalition filed an amicus brief arguing that federal laws preventing individuals from transporting or receiving firearms from outside the state in which they reside are essential to protecting public safety. The brief, filed in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, explains that state and federal regulations of firearms dealers help reduce violent crime and support law enforcement investigations. The coalition argues that federal regulations fortify state gun laws and does not infringe on Second Amendment rights.
